Giving your opinion[edit | edit source]
When expressing your opinion in Kabyle, you can use the following expressions:

| Taddart-nneɣ d tamurt-nneɣ, d ayen i d-tetteddun tudert. | Taddart-nneɣ d tamurt-nneɣ, d ayen i d-tetteddun tudert. | Our village is our country, it is what feeds us. |
| Aḥric nessaram-d. | aħʁic nessaram-d. | I think so. |
| Aṭas i d-tawḍit ɣef umezgun aya. | aʈas i d-tawðit ɣef umezgun aja. | As far as I know. |
For instance, if someone asks for your opinion on a book you read, you may answer as follows:
- Person 1: Cwiṭa-d-yas ɣer tama-a ad yughal ulac ?
(What do you think of this book?) - Person 2: Ayaǧǧuq ashel d tasa, d aya ωadni wali, yiwen seg akken atru.
(In my point of view, it's one of the best books I've ever read, really touching.)

In Kabyle, to express why you have a certain opinion, you can use the following expressions:

| D acu ara tesseqdac ? | d acu ara tesseqdac ? | Why do you think so? |

For instance, if someone asks you for the reasons for your opinion on a movie you watched, you may answer as follows:
- Person 1: Adu iwumi-d tafaska-nnek ɣef lḥerveza-a ?
(What are your reasons for liking this movie?) - Person 2: Adu iwumi d yiwen n warrac, nettat-iw dγa deg lenfa, iwumi d tezreṭ, tamniḍt n miya d yefka-t-id lwilaya.
(One of the reasons is that I find the story very original, it's suspenseful and keeps you on edge, and the cinematography is just stunning.)
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Here's a dialogue to put these new expressions into context:
- Person 1: D acu ara eɣɣef ɣur-s tayri-nnek ?
(Why do you have this opinion?) - Person 2: Aḥric nessaram-d, d aya i d-asenzen umḍiq-a d aqvayli, d amusnaw i d-weḥman i yimẓabiyen n lqaɛa.
(I think so because, as a Kabyle native, I feel a strong attachment to the Amazigh culture, to its values and its history.) - Person 1: Ibadel-d buṭṭun-iw ɣef tama-a, ɣur-s ad yeglu-d.
(Change my mind about this, convince me.) - Person 2: D imi ur tḥuled ara, yeǧǧa-d-yas di tsekbilt-nwen yid-yagi imi ur neiẓẓuf deg wegran.
