Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, 8th May, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

For those entering Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, we usually reserve the 2 tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to participate?
The group welcomes and is attended by individuals of all levels, from beginners to native speakers. However, having even a basic conversational ability is beneficial to engage with others!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very casual, typically lasting for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has signed up, will the event still take place?
Although the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees, with the usual group size ranging from 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and enhance your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the staircase where we will be seated on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language receives equal time and engaging topics to keep the conversation flowing. We are excited to see our regular members and extend a warm welcome to new participants.
